BEST WEDDING VENUES IN CENTRAL WEST NSW

Hi, I'm Kirsten.

Hi, I'm Kirsten.

My style is natural and unobtrusive, and my photography is full of genuine happiness, movement, light, authenticity and colour.

I photograph weddings in Central West NSW and here is a list of some of my favourite weddings venues west of Sydney.

MUDGEE

Burnbrae Wines

Burnbrae Wines is all about good wine, good food - especially wood fired pizza, and good times. It is a laidback venue with a rustic vibe where the indoors flows to the outdoors. The secluded garden is a perfect ceremony location. And have your reception under the stars with long tables outdoors or under cover in the barn-like deck. Good for pizza, wine, and good conversation without too much fuss.

The Pavillion at Lowe Wines

Visiting the Lowe Wines cellar door is on the top of the list for things to do in Mudgee. It’s laid back charm with views across the dam and vines towards the mountains, as well as excellent wine and food, makes this a really special place to gather and have fun. The purpose built marquee can hold up to 150 guests seated for dinner or 200 standing for canapes and is a showstopper when styled with hanging florals.

The Vinegrove

With homestead accommodation less than 100 metres from the reception hall that can fit 8-20 people, outdoor seating in the garden for canapes and vineyards surrounding the venue for photos, it is hard to find a prettier venue that Vinegrove. The reception hall can be styled as you please and there is a real outdoors indoors feel to the venue which adds a bit of magic.

Blue Wren Farm

Blue Wren Farm is a working farm set on 50 acres of land surrounded by the beautiful Mudgee countryside. With glamping tents and a homestead onsite accommodation  is available for the bridal party and immediate family. Have a grand outdoors ceremony tucked in the trees and move inside to the White Hall, a fresh white modern barn with cathedral ceilings you can style as you please, for your reception - all within a short walk of each other.

Yurali House

A private property set on 65 acres, Yurali House has panoramic views across the Mudgee landscape and can be a blank canvas for couples wanting a private and tailored wedding in a beautiful Mudgee location. Have your ceremony in the onsite marquee or outdoors in one of many beautiful spots around the homestead. Accommodation is onsite and the venue can be styled however you like  it - it really is a blank canvas!

Evanslea

Evanlea is a boutique country house with sprawling gardens leading down to the Cudgegong River. Have your ceremony in the luxurious garden and reception in the marquee at the bottom of the gardens. Accommodation is onsite and has a luxurious boutique vibe.

ORANGE

Wedding Philip Shaw Wines
  • With a designer vibe the Philip Shaw cellar door is definitely an extension of their brand embodied by their premium wines. Onsite catering, a dedicated function space inside their bluestone cellar door and old timber railway sleepers that look like roman archways as a ceremony backdrop provide a really different and very luxe but laid back wedding feel.

Philip Shaw’s cellar door has a huge amount of outdoor space with terraced gardens flowing up to the bluestone reception area. Perfect for lawn games and outdoor canapes with views across their property and gardens to for guests to enjoy.

  • An award winning cellar door with exceptional food and wine, Printhie has a very limited number of weddings each year at its brand new cellar door building.

Surrounded by vines, apple orchards and paddocks there are multiple sites to hold your ceremony. One of the best spots is closer to the cellar door - a stunning olive grove with views over the hills below. Definitely one of my fave places in Orange!

Stockamn's Ridge Clear Marquee
  • Stockman’s Ridge has a brand new purpose built clear and black marquee that is absolutely stunning.

Ceremonies are held outdoors overlooking the vines, there are fire pits outside for ambience (and warmth) and the clear marquee means you can stargaze through it during your reception. Surrounded by paddocks and vines with award winning wines, Stockman’s Ridge is a stunning wedding venue in Orange. Photo by Studio Door Creative - It’s so new I haven’t photographed in the marquee yet!

wedding venue
  • Rowlee is one of Orange’s best wedding venues. With a luxe country vibe, Rowlee has paddocks on one side of the cellar door and vineyards on the other.

They have a dedicated garden area around a country homestead for outdoor ceremonies and it’s an easy walk between your ceremony location and your reception in a marquee or in their newly renovated barn. Rowlee also offers on-site accommodation a few hundred metres from their cellar door.

  • Mayfield Vineyard has a beautiful country style mansion onsite that can sleep 12 people and is only 10 minutes from town. The best part about Mayfield Vineyard is you can have the whole vineyard and cellar door area to yourself all weekend.

Smaller weddings can use the homestead for a catering kitchen, reception in the dining area and ceremony outside. For larger weddings a marquee is put up on the private grounds.

Wedding Nashdale Lane vineyard
  • Nashdale Lane is a beautiful rustic style cellar door with views across vineyards to Mount Canobolas just outside. Stay onsite in stylish glamping tents and have your ceremony in the gardens with the vines and mountain in the background.

Nashdale Lane has award winning wines and facilities for catering onsite for weddings and events but only book a limited number of weddings each year.

Borrodell vineyard wedding, Orange NSW
  • Borrodell has been a fixture on the Orange wedding scene for years. And for good reason. They have a restaurant with award winning chefs on site and provide competitive ceremony/reception/food and beverage packages.

Perched high up on the hill overlooking the Towac Valley, the drive into Borrodell is almost as pretty as the views from the terrace up top. Lined with orchards and vineyards, Borrodell has onsite accommodation and can either have a marquee lawn set-up or host your reception in their spacious wine tasting hall.

Hayshed wedding and events Orange
  • Hayshed is on a private property about 15 minutes out of town surrounded by paddocks. The rustic barn is a fun wedding reception venue with a lot of charm that can fit a large number o guests.

Ceremonies are usually held outside in the paddock with views over the mountains and dam in the background and the venue has a very down to earth country feel.

  • Heifer Station is such a vibe! The award winning vineyard has multiple areas to hold your ceremony in paddocks and vineyards and reception options including long tables outside under the stars - in the vines - or seated dining in their newly built cellar door.

They don’t provide catering but have facilities for catering to come onsite for weddings.

BLUE MOUNTAINS

Dryridge Estate - Megalong Valley

Nestled in the Megalong Valley, Dryridge Estate is a working vineyard and has sweeping views across the valley to the Blue Mountains escarpment. With a clear marquee wedding reception space and ceremony sites with views to die for, this venue is one of my all time faves.

Collits’ Inn - Hartley Vale

With a homely feel and rustic feel Collits’ Inn has a lot of personality. The wooden barn provides a reception space that is earthy and cosy and the homestead has tiny turn of the century (last century) bedrooms and living areas that ooze with charm and history. Plenty of ceremony and portrait locations and home cooked meals for catering.

Lilianfels - Katoomba

Lilianfels is an iconic Blue Mountains hotel and restaurant located near Echo Point on two acres of manicured gardens. The 5 star hotel is luxurious and full of old world charm. Elopements in the garden followed by dinner in  the restaurant are popular and larger weddings can be  catered for as well.

Waldara Farm

Located near Oberon, Waldara Farm is a stunning working far,m that feels like you are in the middle of nowhere. The grounds around the homestead are landscaped beautifully and there is an array of ceremony and reception location options.

Seclusions - Rydal

Seclusions in Rydal is a wedding venue located on a private farm with panoramic views of the surrounding valleys. With a rustic country vibe, Seclusions offers onsite accommodation and a connection to the outdoors with various ceremony site options and a wooden barn style reception venue.

One&Only - Wolgan Valley

Popular for elopements, Emirates One&Only Wolgan Valley offers a luxurious venue immersed in nature. Think private villas, stargazing, exquisite dining and all the touches of a six star resort.

Allview Escape -Blackheath

Allview Escape is situated right on the  escarpment in Blackheath nestled in the bush and with views across the Blue Mountains National Park. Accommodation is available onsite and the venue is popular for elopements and small weddings who can dine in the main homestead. Larger weddings can be accommodated with a marquee reception. It’s hard to beat the views and back to nature feel of Allview!
