Rustic Romantic Collits’ Inn Blue Mountains Wedding

Ciara and Mark's wedding at Collits Inn was relaxed and heartfelt with a focus on friends, family and celebrating their love. They met working together in Sydney in what Ciara describes as a classic chef/waitress romance over 7 years ago. With friends and family travelling from all over the world - Mark is English and Ciara is Irish - they wanted an intimate and very Australian location to party with their wedding guests not too far from Sydney.

Located in the scenic Hartley Vale, just a two-hour drive west from Sydney, Collits’ Inn was the idyllic choice for their down to earth wedding. Set against the awe-inspiring backdrop of the Blue Mountains escarpment and surrounded by lush bushland, Collits’ Inn offered a picturesque setting that gave their guests a very Australian bush experience.

Collits Inn is one of the oldest and longest inhabited buildings in the Blue Mountains region, and it exudes a sense of history and heritage. With its colonial-style architecture and rustic charm, this historical homestead provided the perfect backdrop for their wedding..

Ciara got ready onsite, and walked down the aisle to Mark where they said their vows under the shade of rows of towering trees. After the ceremony, guests enjoyed the outdoor canapes and views of kangaroos hopping across the nearby paddock, before moving into Pierce’s barn, a rustic wooden barn, adorned with vintage decorations that oozes old world charm.

Mark’s tweed Woolcott jacket fit in with the rustic theme perfectly, while Ciara sparkled in a long sleeve Karen Willis Holmes gown that looked like it was made just for her. Ciara’s floral bouquet was stunning - a mix of Australian natives made by Fine Flowers Katoomba. We had the most beautiful light for portraits with the sun setting behind the Blue Mountains escarpment, and after slow dancing in the paddock, Ciara and Mark walked into the reception to eat wholesome food and listen to heartfelt speeches. Such a beautiful day with so many feels x
