Hamish and Nerida's colour bomb love fest featured on Together Journal and it’s obvious why! Hamish and Nerida’s fab styling, amazing outfits and all round good party vibes definitely made it a day to remember for everyone there.
Hamish and Nerida first met at a party in high school, but it wasn’t until they randomly met at a hostel in Budapest years later that they connected properly and became good friends. Their love was slow burning. Nerida says after meeting in Budapest they started talking a lot more regularly and many of their other friends saw them being together before they realised they should be! In the end, Nerida made a move but Hamish was not quite ready. Three months later he came back to her and said he had made the biggest mistake of his life and the rest is history!
Hamish grew up in rural New South Wales while Nerida grew up in Papua New Guinea. They both grew up on farms, went to boarding school near Sydney and have a strong friendship group of high school and university friends. Their friends and family literally travelled from all over the world to celebrate with them which made so many special moments of people seeing each other for the first time in years.
Their truly breathtaking wedding ceremony and reception was held at Lowe Wines vineyard in Mudgee, NSW. The venue was transformed into a party paradise of vibrant colours, with stunning florals showcasing the fun vibes in every corner. Hamish made a bold fashion statement by donning a custom salmon pink suit made by Institchu that perfectly complemented the vibrancy of the occasion and boy oh boy did it pay off!
Nerida was determined not to be outshone by the groom. She poured her heart and soul into every aspect of her outfit to ensure it could hold up to the awesomeness of Hamish's suit. Nerida added a bridal headpiece to her ceremony outfit, put on a tinsel jacket for their reception then changed into a two piece sequin outfit by Sheike and Co for the dance floor. Their vision of a colourful celebration was perfectly executed, as the bridesmaids walked down the aisle in somehow perfectly complimentary multicoloured dresses they chose themselves.
It was a truly unforgettable wedding, where love and colour came together to create those party vibes Hamish and Nerida envisioned.
